This 4 week class covers everything you need to know to write elegant pointed pen calligraphy! In these four sessions, we will learn all the details of graceful script calligraphy, firmly rooted in traditional Copperplate calligraphy, yet with a modern emphasis on individuality.

The class will start off with how to use your pointed pen, beginning tools and materials, then how to create those thick and thin lines that are characteristic of pointed pen calligraphy. We then will work through the strokes needed to create the letters we love. In the next two sessions, we will take an in-depth look at how these strokes are used to create a lovely alphabet, starting with minuscules then moving in the majuscules. The last class will cover those super fun details like letter variations, flourishing and putting your calligraphy to use in lovely projects!
