This little folding technique results in 6 sided snowflakes.
In step 7, experiment to see which cuts produce the snowflake designs you like best.

This year, I stapled a bunch of paper snowflakes to ribbon and draped it on the mantlepiece. It looks elegant but still really fun, with vases of berries and holly above.
If you would like to take this craft to the next level, you could do as my friend Markus once did for a Christmas party - an indoor blizzard! He cover the ceiling of his entire house with HUNDREDS of paper snowflakes!!! It was amazing :)
